This three-part Point of Care program provides clinicians with the opportunity to learn effective methods of HIV risk-reduction counseling from leading infectious disease experts, practice those methods online, and then apply them in clinical practice. The program is designed for internal medicine physicians, infectious disease specialists, and other health care professionals who manage patients living with HIV/AIDS.

Part 1 provides you with useful knowledge on clinician-initiated HIV risk reduction counseling practices and risk management strategies for HIV+ patients, through expert multimedia lectures and simulated physician-patient role-plays.

Part 2 enables you to practice what you have learned in Part 1 through interactive role-plays with standardized HIV+ patients, where you determine optimal counseling approaches.

Part 3 facilitates the transfer of this learning into your clinical practice by providing the opportunity to reflect upon and evaluate its effect on patient care. A monthly newsletter provides patient vignettes and feedback from experts.
